Day 7...30 Things.

What's up?? :)  Hope your day is going well...

Ready for Day 7?

Here goes....

Item #7:  What is your dream job, and why?

What I am doing, right now in my life, is my dream job.

I know it wasn't my dream job when I was a kid...

When I was younger, ever since I can remember up until my senior year of high school...all I wanted to be was a Chef.

That was it.

My dad took me to visit a cooking academy, about 6 hours away from home...and I got scared.

I chickened out and never looked back.

It's funny where life takes you, when you least expect it.

Since then I've had other aspirations, but nothing that have given me the satisfaction that this job has given me.

I love to see women happy.

I love to see how much better a woman feels when they are dressed in something pretty and fun!

I love to play with shoes...and handbags...and clothing...and jewelry.

I love fashion and I love my job.

But, aside from the fun stuff, I honestly love that I get to help women, and talk to them when they are having a bad day.  Or, offer a hug when life's frustrations come our way.

I love that the most about my job.

You.

  1. My dream job is my current job! I love being a Mom! I love being home with my kids! (I do not however, love the housecleaning part, but I do it!) A stay-at-home Mom is not one who just sits around, atleast not this one. I get to wake 3 amazing kids up everyday and put 3 amazing kids to bed every night. I get to take them wherever they need/want to go. I get to watch them grow. Watch them succeed, and sometime be ready to lift them up when they don't. I get to be a Drill Sergeant, Chef, housekeeper, financial advisor/accountant, dishwasher, nurse, psychiatrist, counselor, dance assistant (not very good at that :o)), tumbing assistant (same as the dance!), football coach, basketball coach, soccer coach, softball coach, taxi, seamstress, educator, car detailer, master scheduler, professional shopper, fundraiser queen and so many other things!

I was truly blessed the day I gave up my data minor/analyst job at Fort Riley. Boy the did financial pay reduction stink, but our family is so much happier and less stressful now!! We have time to be with the kids and do things that we couldn't do before! We used to be in a dash to get everyone up at 530 & to daycares by 615 & work by 730. Then a dash again to get all kids home by 530, then dinner, dishes, baths, and bed! Seemed like we hardly knew each other back then! Now our weekends are not filled with housework and laundry, its usually filled with other activities for the kids or just plain family fun time!!
    I love being a MOM!!!

I am really not sure what my dream job it, I love being a mom and a wife. Love working in the veterinary field. I would love to be a Veterinarian but what happens when you get all burned out???? I also think it would be great to own a bookstore, coffee place, artsy kind of hangout combo place?? Ya know what i mean? I have a list but I may be a little old for so many jobs.
